BIRTHS, DEATHS AND MARRIAGES
NONE TO REPORT THIS YEAR

WONDERFUL NEWS

As many of you may be aware, we lost contact with Sarah's three eldest children after her divorce. Although we had tried to locate them we had no luck until Sarah let us know that she had made contact with Danielle her eldest daughter. Margaret searched on the Friends Reunited website and sent Dani a message. We are now in regular contact with her, by email, after 13 years of separation. She and her fiance Dave live in Roehampton and they are planning to get married this coming year.

VISITORS

We had visits this year from  Margaret’s sister Sue, our friends Di and Steve from Chesterfield, our youngest daughter Margie and her children Mitch and Robyn, and Beryl and Sandra friends who used to live here but now unfortunately now live back in Durham.

Although they didn’t stay with us we saw cousin Wendy and her husband Michael and ex workmates of Douglas' John Collins, Stan (The Van) Runchman and their good ladies.

WORK

Douglas worked for “Alcances 2012” as a Hotel Representative for the whole of the summer season, 1st May to 31st October. He thoroughly enjoyed it and hopes to do the same next season provided the company has not gone under like so many did this year.

GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN

Douglas' brother Geoff and his wife Viv are soon to become Great-Grandparents, although Hilary and I have step Great-Grandchildren, Geoff and Viv are the first of the four senior Lackeys to get a real one.

RUSTY

Poor Rusty had a near death experience when he was out for a walk with Margaret. He was set upon by two huge unaccomanied dogs and sustained a number of bites. Luckily Marg shouted for help and several of the local men came out, some in their pyjamas, and scared the other dogs away. An urgent trip to the vet's took place and Rusty had eight clips put in his wounds. He also had a course of antibiotics to take. I'm pleased to report that he is now none the worse for wear and back to his old self. He was so lucky as many of his wounds were around his neck and the vet said that any one of them could have punctured his windpipe or a major artery.

GENERAL NEWS

Douglas is spending the winter redesigning the garden , building a chicken coop and decorating the house. Margaret has just started sewing a very large cross-stitch of a typical Mallorcean lady in full national dress. She expects this to keep her out of mischief for a while!!! Apart from this she is doing what she does in the summer months, just as she likes!!!

As usual we had Christmas lunch at our favourite restaurant, “Can Pistollete” which those of you who have visited us will know well.

Finally, we hope you had a wonderful Christmas and wish you all a very Happy New Year.

WE REALLY LIKE TO KNOW WHO'S VISITED OUR WEBSITE , SO PLEASE TAKE A MOMENT TO SIGN THE GUESTBOOK. REMEMBER THAT CHILDREN USE THIS SITE SO NO BAD LANGUAGE PLEASE.
